A Celtic cross is hand carved and cast, using the ancient cross excavated in Whales that is alleged to be the tomb of King Arthur, as a model. This piece has organic shaping and texturing for a time worn feel. Oxidized and rubbed back for a dark patina in the recesses. On a short cable chain with an S hook clasp. Each is handcrafted individually in sterling silver by the artist, Miche McClendon, in her Laguna Beach studio/gallery. Signed on the back with a tiny handmade custom crescent moon stamp.
Celtic crosses, crosses with a circle around the intersection, are thought to have been first found in Ireland. The circle represents the sun.
